The main tools in weaving, in addition to beads, are:
- fishing line;
- wire;
- threads;
- fabrics;
- sequins.
The role of the base on which the beads will be strung is performed by a fishing line or thread. However, neither material will allow you to give the desired shape to the product, so you should choose wire to form the flower elements (petals, leaves). With its help, you can not only form a flower, but also provide it with good stability.
Copper wire is most often used. It has the right thickness and softness. Too thin wire is not suitable, it will often break and twist, too thick - it will bend poorly.
The flower bud will definitely need a stem. Wire can play the role of this element. You can also take a toothpick or a skewer. The main thing is that the material is hard enough. The base of the stem should be wrapped in green fabric or wrapped with a thread of the same color. You can also use colored paper or ribbon.
The assortment includes beads of different diameters: the smaller they are, the more realistic the flower will be. Large beads look less attractive.
In complex works, a special needle intended for beading is often used. It can be purchased in advance. However, if at the right moment this tool is not at hand, it can be replaced with a simple needle that is used for sewing. The main thing is that the holes of the beads are wide enough and they can be easily strung on the needle.
The beading needle should be thin enough. If you are working with a fishing line, you can do without it. When using transparent beads, you need to choose a thread or fishing line in the same tone. The choice can be difficult, especially when the product involves a large number of different shades. In this case, it is better to give preference to something neutral.
Many experienced needlewomen use the so-called monofilament, which can have different colors. Its main advantage is its strength, due to its polymer-based production. This thread does not break and easily passes through beads.

Perhaps it should be lush, large or, on the contrary, small. For example, for a rose, elements of different sizes are used to provide the flower with lushness and give it a natural look.

Chamomile
Those who have decided to take up beadwork but do not know where to start are advised to choose flowers such as daisies. They are easy to make, and during work you can easily and quickly master the basics of this type of creativity. At the same time, the product, despite the simplicity of manufacture, turns out beautiful.
To work you need to prepare the following:
- multi-colored beads (green, white and yellow beads);
- wire, which will act as a base for the beads;
- paper or thread in a green shade for the stem;
- the container in which the flower will be located.
The work will take place in the following 4 stages:

To make a rose from beads, you need to prepare:
- 250 g beads for the bud;
- 70-80 g beads for leaves and sepals;
- wire;
- skewer;
- stem material.
Rosebuds use petals of different diameters. Their number may vary, depending on personal preferences. However, it should be borne in mind that the number of petals determines the splendor: the more petals, the more splendor the flower will have.
The wire for the petals can also have different lengths. For the smallest elements, take a length of about 50 cm, for medium and large ones, it is better to increase the length by 15 cm.
Rose flower made of beads
The steps to create a rose are as follows:
- Make a loop 10 cm from the end of the wire. For the main part of the petal, you will need 5 beads. They need to be strung on the tail of the loop.
- Make the next loop. The resulting small tail will be used to secure the arches with beads. The number of beads in the 1st arch is 8.
- Place the finished arc near the base and fix it. Then make another similar element and place it on the other side of the base.
- The small petals should have 4 arcs on one side and the same number on the other.
- Medium-sized elements are 1.5 times larger. These petals should have 6 pairs of arcs. Their number can also be increased to 7.
- Large petals are 9 pairs of arcs. In this case, 3 axes are used to create a large petal. This will require additional wire.
- Start assembling the bud from the smallest petals. The elements should be connected to each other by the lower edges. They should be arranged overlapping. Thanks to this, the flower will be more lush and acquire a natural look.
- When the bud is done, start making the leaves and sepals. The same technique is used. By changing the length of the arcs, the leaves need to be made pointed.
- Attach the created elements to the base - a stick or a skewer. It should be pre-wrapped in colored paper or wrapped in green thread. You can also glue a ribbon to the stem. The main thing is to make it turn green.
The created flower will eventually turn out beautiful and this is where the work on its creation can be completed. However, to make the rose look more realistic, you can make several thorns for its stem, which are typical for it.
Lavender
A flower made of beads (for beginners you can make lavender, it will captivate with its elegance and subtle aroma) in the shape of lavender, when viewed from afar, it seems as if it is real field lavender.
To start creating beaded lavender, you need to stock up on the following materials:
- beads. You will need green and purple colors. As for the size of the beads, you should give preference to the so-called Czech (No. "10") or Chinese (No. "12");
- wire for stringing beads. You need to prepare a thin wire less than 1 cm thick for the weaving itself, as well as a thicker wire to create the stem;
- tape to mask the stem, giving it a green color;
- a container into which the finished flowers will then be placed.
The process of making lavender is very simple. If you follow the recommendations, even a beginner will get magnificent purple flowers.
The steps to create lavender are as follows:
- Make petals. For this, take purple beads. String 12 beads onto 2 m of wire. Then, placing them at a distance of 5 cm from the end of the wire, create a loop.
- String 10 more beads onto the long end of the wire. Then create a 2nd loop 2-3 cm from the 1st loop. So you need to create 20 loops, each of which consists of 10 beads.
- Create 26 loops, each of which consists of 12 beads. In this case, use the same technique as described above.
- Make 8 loops, each with 14 beads.
- When all the loops are ready (their total number should be 55), each of them must be shaped into the number “8” or the infinity sign.
- Proceed to creating leaves. For this, green beads are used. The leaves should be different in size. There should be 4 types in total.
- To make small leaves, take a 14-cm wire and string green beads on it. The thread should be 7-cm.
- Having made a loop, you need to squeeze it tightly. As a result, a leaflet of 35 mm in length is formed. For this composition, 1 such leaflet will not be enough. You need to take another 14-cm piece of wire and repeat the procedure described above. As a result, you will get 2 small leaves, each of which is 35 mm in length.
- For the next pair of leaves, take a 13 cm piece of wire. The thread should be 8 cm long. After creating a loop and squeezing tightly, a leaflet of 40 mm in length is formed.
- The next pair of leaves is 5 mm longer. To make each of these leaves, in addition to the green beads, you will need a piece of wire 17 cm long. The thread should be 9 cm. The result should be a leaf 45 mm long. You will need 2 of these leaves in total.
- The largest leaves should be 55 mm long. There should also be 2 of them. A 19 cm piece of wire is used to make each of them. The string should be 10 cm or 11 cm long.
- When all the petals and leaves are ready, proceed to assembling the flower. The base to which the previously prepared lavender elements will be attached will be a thick wire. For example, a wire with a diameter of 18 mm will work well. The length of the wire should be 25 cm.
- Wrap the top part of the wire (about a third of it) with floral tape.
- Take a blank of purple beads and attach it to the upper end of the resulting stem.
- Having attached the 1st loop, start winding in a circle. The circles should be located at a distance of 5 mm from each other.
- Pick up all the loops and adjust them to achieve uniformity.
- Try to make sure that the purple loops cover the areas where the wire is visible.
- Wrap the stem with floral tape, starting from the place where the main flower ends, while simultaneously attaching the leaves made earlier.
- It is necessary to observe the sequence of arrangement of pairs of leaves of different sizes. Above the rest, place the smallest leaves, 35 mm long. The distance between them and the flower should be 5 cm. Two leaves should be located opposite each other.
- 3-4 cm below the previous leaves there should be leaves 40 mm long. Place 45 mm leaves 3 cm lower, and 55 mm leaves below all.
- Wrap the stem completely with tape.
This completes the process of creating the first lavender flower, but to make a bouquet, you need to weave a few more of these branches.
Forget-me-nots
A beaded flower (for beginners, you can make it in country or Provence style) in the form of a bouquet of forget-me-nots will be a magnificent decoration of the premises. It will always please the eye and lift the mood.
To make a bouquet of forget-me-nots, you need to prepare:
- thin wire;
- green thread;
- beads of 3 different colors: blue, yellow, green. You will need the least amount of yellow beads.
- the basis for the bouquet. This role can be played by a vase or a small pot.
The manufacturing stages are as follows:
- Start by making the petals. They are usually blue, but you can use light blue beads to create them.
- The core of the flower should be made of yellow beads. This is done as follows: take a 10 cm long wire and string 1 yellow bead on it.
- On the same wire, string 5 blue or light blue beads, which will play the role of petals. The blue forget-me-not petals should be located around the yellow core.
- To secure the petals, thread the wire through the hole of the yellow bead. One forget-me-not flower is not enough for an inflorescence. There should be several. The needlewoman can choose the number herself. You can make, for example, 9 or 11 flowers.
- When the flowers are ready, move on to making the leaves. It is convenient to use the French weaving technique here. You can also weave in rows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2 beads. The number can be increased to 5. In this case, the elements will be larger. The wire should be passed through the beads crosswise. Thanks to this, the rows will be more securely fixed.
- Make a stem and attach the previously created elements to it. The stem is made of wire, but you just need to make sure that it is green. To do this, you should wrap it with thread or colored paper. The color of the material that the stem is wrapped with should be green.
- Place the finished inflorescence in a pot or vase. Here you can imitate the soil to make the composition look more realistic.

- Before you start weaving, you should check the beads and seed beads for reaction to external factors, including water, perfume, sunlight;
- When working, you should only use specialized needles;
- If you need cotton threads for your work, you should use beeswax to make them more elastic;
- when working with colored beads, threads are always selected to match their tone;
- for comfortable creativity, a felt napkin should be present on the needlewoman’s table;
- when making it is necessary to take beads with a reserve and of the same size;
- Before making the product, the beads are checked for the size of the inner hole. To do this, the thread is threaded and passed through several times;
- the minimum length of thread or fishing line for work is 1 m;
