Any of these items are in almost every home. Therefore, before you start choosing a master class, you should conduct an audit of cabinets and shelves. Having collected the materials, you can determine what kind of craft you can make.

Suitable materials for making a New Year's composition:

Name Description
Natural materials The main natural materials for the New Year's composition are cones. They are harvested in the fall. It will be difficult to find suitable specimens in winter.

Spruce, pine and fir cones are suitable for handicrafts. They can be painted in any color. Another essential attribute is coniferous branches. If you use live ones, then for the durability of the craft you will need a floral sponge. Otherwise, the needles will quickly crumble, and the product will take on an unpresentable appearance.

Decorations Suitable decorations include: twigs, Christmas tree decorations, beads, and gilded leaves. There are plenty of options in any craft store. But you can do without purchased materials. It is enough not to throw away old Christmas tree decorations. They can be updated with spray paint. Thanks to this, you will get a beautiful decoration for the composition.
Boxes Compositions with a paper base are easier to make from a ready-made box. Any container will do: from candies, tea, cookies. Any box will be an ideal foundation. It is enough to just glue it or paint it.
Ribbons You can make bows from ribbons or simply decorate the base of the composition with them. A beginner needlewoman should use rep materials, not satin ones. They are easier to work with.
Glassware Sometimes master classes use a large number of materials. Paper base is not suitable, as it will not withstand the weight. It is replaced by glassware. Most often in crafts they use: mugs, wine glasses, deep bowls.
Consumables Spray paints, acrylic paints, PVA, hot glue, glitter, candles.

To create a composition, you can use stones painted in gold, artificial snowflakes. There are many options for decorations. The main thing is to learn to use your imagination.

The end result should be a shape that resembles a large plate with sides.

  2. A floral sponge is placed in a container with water so that it becomes soaked in it.
  3. A film is placed on the bottom of the cardboard and cork mold. It will prevent water from dripping onto the burlap.
  4. The floral foam is taken out of the water and placed in a cardboard form on film.
  5. The excess film is cut off with scissors so that its ends are not visible.

Move on to working with coniferous branches. They will have to be processed to install them in the sponge. To do this, make a cut at an angle at the base of each one. In the part that will be immersed in the sponge, remove the needles.
