Necessary tools for work:

Wire

It is recommended to use in work:
  • A skein of 10-50 m of thin wire (0.2-0.3 mm) of golden or silver shade. If desired, you can also use colored wire - red, green, blue.
  • Wire of 0.8 and 2 mm in diameter, also golden or silver in color.

The first one will be needed directly for beading, stringing beads, weaving and connecting elements, and the second one will be used as a dense frame for the crown.

Multicolored beads and beads of various shapes

For work you will need beads and beads of different sizes and shapes, as well as bugles. Their color can be any and depends on the palette of the main costume. Used in work:
  • Czech beads No. 10, 15, 20;
  • chopped beads (chopped beads) up to 3 cm long;
  • glass beads of different sizes.

Additional tools:

  • ruler;
  • fishing line, 0.2 mm thick;
  • scissors;
  • a headband that helps to secure the crown on the head;
  • pliers;
  • transparent glue;
  • a container with several deep compartments for storing consumables.

Crown made of beads and wire

A beaded crown on a wire frame is made from thick (2-3 mm in diameter) copper wire.

You will also need:

  • thin copper wire (0.2-0.3 mm) matching the shade of the frame;
  • 1 package (10 g each) of gold, blue and white beads (different colors are allowed);
  • golden glass beads (8 large beads can replace it);
  • ruler.

The crown being made is a frame structure with 7-8 triangular elements decorated with beads and glass beads, and to create it you need:

  1. Form the frame of the future product from thick wire, for which use pliers to cut off a piece equal to 10-15 cm (depending on the size of the child's head and the final product) and close its sides, forming a semblance of a ring.
  2. For strength, wrap the round frame with a layer of thin wire.
  3. Using a ruler, determine the desired height of the triangular links of the crown, and then use scissors to cut 8 pieces of thin (0.2-0.3 mm) copper wire, with a height corresponding to the height of the link + an additional 4-5 cm for winding.
  4. Using a ruler, divide the wire frame circle into equal parts, and then attach the prepared sections of links to it in an overlapping manner.DIY Beaded Crown. How to Make, Master Class
  5. To form a crown link, make a triangular element from a wire segment by first putting a large bead or bugle bead on its free end, then a smaller bead, then bend the wire and insert its end back into the hole of the bugle bead. Twist the wire under the bead, fixing the top of the triangular crown link, and attach its end to the wire frame so that a triangle is formed.
  6. Proceeding in a similar manner, you need to form 8 crown links.
  7. To decorate the crown, multi-colored small beads are used, strung on a thin wire and wound in random order around the crown links. Each part of the wire segment is necessarily attached to the central axis of the link or to the crown frame.DIY Beaded Crown. How to Make, Master Class
  8. The finished product can be complemented with lace, satin roses and attached to a toothed headband if desired.

Two-tier beaded crown

Another option involves making an "adult" decoration on a wire frame 12-15 cm long and 1.5-2 mm thick. To secure it, it is recommended to additionally make a "clasp", for which the ends of the wire frame need to be bent in opposite directions with pliers so that they form a snap hook.

You will also need to take the following for work:

  • thin copper wire (diameter 0.2-0.3 mm);
  • beads and beads of various colors that match the shade of the costume (2-3 bags of 10 g);
  • a transparent teardrop bead or a glass bead made in the shape of a crystal;
  • 1 pack (10 g) of gold-colored beads.

To create the decoration you will need:

  1. Attach the hanging part of the crown to the central wire frame, for which you need to cut a piece of thin wire measuring 10 cm with nippers or scissors, place a large teardrop bead or rhinestone in its center, and fix the decoration by passing the other end of the wire through it from the back side, and then twisting both ends of the wire together.
  2. Attach the finished piece to the frame, securing the ends of the wire piece with the crystal on both sides.
  3. Then you should further strengthen and decorate the base of the product, for which you should cut a 2-3 m piece from a skein of thin wire. Starting from the base, you should put 200-250 beads on it, and then, having attached one of the ends to the base of the frame, gradually, twisting in a spiral, wind the wire onto the frame of the crown, completely covering it with beads, and twist the ends.
  4. Form the teeth of the top tier of the crown from thick wire and, if desired, put golden glass beads on them.
  5. Attach a thin wire to the base of the top and thread 3 beads onto it, secure the wire and thread it through the last bead in the opposite direction.
  6. Place a large bead on the wire and then secure it by pulling the end of the wire back through the first bead.
  7. Repeat the steps, screwing the beads and the bead, bring the end of the wire up through the first bead and put on it - 7 simple beads + one purple bead + 7 beads. Secure the wire by pulling it in the opposite direction through the last of the beads, and similarly form the remaining teeth of the crown.

Crown of beads and beads

A beaded crown attached to a headband decorated with satin ribbons can be used not only as an element of a festive outfit, but also as a hair decoration.

To create it you will need to take:

  • one skein of thin silver wire, 0.2-0.3 mm in diameter;
  • 2 packs of white beads, 10 g each;
  • white beads with a diameter of 5 and 7 mm (10-15 pieces of each size).
  • pliers or scissors;
  • rim.

The height of the finished crown will be 3.5-4 cm, and it should have 9 links-elements. The diameter of the frame is approximately 3 cm.

The crown is made using the weaving method, for which you need:

  1. Cut a 1 m section from the skein of wire and string beads and seed beads on it one by one according to the pattern - 5 small + 2 medium + 1 large bead + 1 seed bead. The strung beads should be placed in the center of the wire section.

  4. In a similar manner, you need to form the next 9 turns of the crown pattern, placing them on both sides of the central tooth and each time pulling the end of the wire through a free bead of the adjacent element.DIY Beaded Crown. How to Make, Master Class
  5. To connect the parts of the product, you need to additionally put one medium bead on each end of the wire and connect them, passing them through the beads on the opposite section from the back side.DIY Beaded Crown. How to Make, Master Class
  6. Separate the ends of the wire segments again, place 4 small beads on each of them and pass their ends in the opposite direction through the last bead on the adjacent side, located at the base of the product.DIY Beaded Crown. How to Make, Master Class
  7. Place a large bead on one of the wire pieces and twist the ends together.DIY Beaded Crown. How to Make, Master Class
  8. The resulting twist must be hidden inside a large bead.
  9. Grease the finished crown at the base with hot glue, attach it to a hairband and, if desired, add a bow made of satin ribbon to the accessory.
  10. In a similar way, you can make a decoration for a Barbie doll. In this case, it is recommended to use only small beads of any color, and attach the finished product to a hair clip or comb.

Crown of glass beads

A crown made of golden glass beads will be a wonderful addition to a festive dress.

The product consists of 5 elements, made using the arc threading method, and requires the use of the following in the work:

  • golden glass beads No. 11 – about 350 pcs.;
  • wires 2 mm and 0.3 mm thick;
  • pliers.

When creating a product, you need:

  1. Connect 5 identical elements of the crown, for which, having cut 1 m of 0.3 mm thick wire from a skein, put 12 beads on it and pass the wire in the opposite direction through 11 beads, bypassing the last one and creating the top of the element.
  2. Pick up 10 beads on one end of the wire and make a loop of wire around the middle of the element, leaving 2 beads on top so that you get half an arc.

  3. Weave the second half to it, stringing another 10 beads onto the wire and making a turn around the middle of the element.
  4. Place 10 beads on the working end of the wire, make a turn around the left half of the arc of the previous element, having previously stepped back one bead from its top, put another 10 beads on the working end of the wire and complete the arc.
  5. Repeat the action with the right part of the first arc of the central element, placing 10 beads on both sides and stepping back one bugle bead from the top.
  6. Similarly, adding new parts to each left and right part (half-arc) of the previous element, weave 4 new ones with 10 beads on each segment on each side of the arc.
  7. The final, lower element of the crown detail will be 4 (2 from each end of the wire) half-arcs of 8 and 6 beads, with an indentation from the lower element of one bugle bead.

  8. After all the arcs are ready, twist the ends of the wire, making 13 turns.
  9. Proceeding in a similar manner, weave 5 elements of the crown and lower the twisted ends of the wire of each down.
  10. To create the base of the crown, cut 15-20 cm of thick (2 mm wide) wire from the skein and string beads on it one by one, completely covering the section. The ends of the wire should be bent in different directions using pliers, creating a semblance of a clasp.
  11. Using wire, attach each element to the crown. Hide the ends of the working wire of the elements in the glass beads strung on the base.

New Year's Crown

The crown that adorns the head of a girl at a New Year's carnival can be made using the "French weaving" technique from light, glass beads of various sizes that imitate Swarovski crystals.

You will also need the following for the job:

  • silver wire 0.2 and 0.8 mm thick;
  • base for the hoop;
  • pliers.

The main parts of the crown are made using the “French weaving” technique and their shape will resemble rose petals.

Beads for their creation must be of 4 types:

  • size 4*3 mm – 354 pcs.;
  • round or oblong beads, 10 mm in size – 5 pcs.;
  • with a diameter of 6*4 mm – 122 pcs.;
  • teardrop beads measuring 17*10 mm – 5 pcs.

The exact amount will depend on the volume of work.

To make a crown you need:

  1. Prepare 5 elements of different sizes - one large and 2 medium and small.
  2. To create a medium-sized "petal", use pliers to cut off a 20 cm piece of 0.8 mm wire from a skein, place a 10 mm round bead on it, fold it in half and twist the ends. You need to twist 13 mm (turns) for a medium-sized bead, 20 mm for a large bead and 8 mm for a small bead.
  3. Place a drop-shaped bead measuring 17*10 mm on the wire and twist the ends, making 13 turns.
  4. Cut a 30 cm piece from a skein of thin wire (0.3 mm) and screw it to the rod with beads, and then, alternately stringing 4*3 mm beads onto its end, wrap a drop bead in a circle. In a similar way, you need to make 2 turns, each time carefully twisting the ends of the wire at the base of the rod. For the last circle, you need to use 6*4 mm beads, and upon its completion, twist the ends of the thin wire at the base of the rod.
  5. Similarly, make 4 more "petals" of the crown - 2 small, one large and one medium. When creating a large "petal" around a teardrop bead, you need to make 4 turns of beads (3 with beads measuring 4 * 3 mm and one with beads 6 * 4 mm). For small parts - 2 each (one with beads 3 * 4 mm and one with 6 * 4 mm).
  6. After all the elements of the crown are ready, they need to be tied to the base, placing the largest part in its center, and on the sides first the middle ones, and then the smallest "petals". You can use pliers in the work.
  7. To disguise the base hoop, you can take a silver thread, but it is best to disguise and decorate it with beads at the same time, for which you need to carefully place small beads one by one on a piece of fishing line, thread or thin wire, 30 cm in size. Wind it to the base hoop with one end, and then carefully wrap it with beads in a spiral, disguising the thick wire.
  8. The finished crown can be used to complement a New Year's outfit in silver or white colors.

To create a crown you will need:

  1. To make the central element of the decoration, cut 1 meter of wire from the skein and place a bead with a pointed end on it. Fold the wire in half, pinch its ends and twist them about 1 cm.
  2. Separate the ends of the wire and, one by one, first put a faceted bead on one and then on the other, fold the wire in half from each end and twist them downwards by 1.5 cm.
  3. Separate the ends of the wire again, place a rice grain-shaped bead on one of them and twist it, placing the element in the middle of the piece. Attach exactly the same piece to the other side of the wire, and then finish knitting the decoration piece, stringing one bead of different shapes and twisting the ends down by 1 cm.
  4. Proceeding in a similar manner, you need to weave 13 elements of the product - one large "central" from 10 beads of different shapes, 5 medium from 7 beads and 6 small from 4 beads with pointed ends. Also from Czech beads it is necessary to make 6 additional, auxiliary parts, consisting of 2-3 circles with 4-5 beads in each. They will be needed to mask the wire on the crown hoop.
  5. To the middle of the rim, dividing the wire into 2 sides, attach the central element using pliers. To its bottom, you need to attach one of the small parts made of Czech beads.
  6. In a similar way, one by one, moving from large to smaller parts, you need to assemble the entire crown so that its parts on both sides of the central element are symmetrical.
  7. To mask the edges and wire of the decoration, you can use a thin fishing line with round beads strung on it. One end of it needs to be tied to the edge of the crown, and then carefully, wrapping the hoop base in a spiral, cover it completely with beads.
  8. You can use beads of any shape, color and size in your work, connecting them in any order.

A beaded crown is a beautiful and bright addition to a festive or New Year's outfit for both a little girl and a young woman.
