In the cold season, knitted items such as pullovers are quite popular and widespread. These items of clothing, crocheted or knitted, were previously worn only by athletes and men. Now they have become a favorite among women. The neck, made in the form of a V-shaped cutout in the front, distinguishes such items of clothing from others, for example, from knitted jumpers.

How to Knit a Pullover with a Mesh Insert
Women's pullover knitted can be knitted using various methods and materials. Such products differ from each other in patterns and design of details. Models, for example, from jacquard and braids, successfully warm the body in cold weather and complement the image.
You can knit the following attractive pullover with a mesh insert, presented below:
The mesh pattern seductively highlights the top of this sky-blue model. Its attractive diagonals visually change the lines of the figure. Namely, they optically lengthen the legs and emphasize the graceful waist. The wedge-shaped neckline and vertical structures enhance this effect.
Model parameters
The pullover model has the following:
- Dimensions:
- S/M;
- (M/L);
- L/XL.
- Width across chest circumference in cm:
- 93;
- (102);
- 111
- Length in cm:
- 66;
- (68);
- 70
Tools
To work on the product you will need:
- Needles number 4 with a 60 cm cord.
- Cotton-merino sky blue yarn in skeins:
- 12;
- (13);
- 14
- Straight needles marked 4 and 4.5.
The stocking stitch is made with knitting needles No. 4.5. 18 loops and 26 rows should correspond to a square with a side of 10 cm. If only 1 number is shown in the pattern description, then it can be applied to all sizes.
First, a pair of loops are knitted together with a left-hand tilt, the next 2 elements are performed in the same way, but already in the form of a purl step.
How to knit the back
Cast on stitches using needles marked 4:
- 106;
- (114);
- 122
Next, create a 4 cm elastic band: 2 purl, 2 knit (the 1st and last circles are made with purl loops). Then they move on to tools number 4,5 and continue with the front surface.
A women's pullover (knitting them with knitting needles is not particularly difficult and time-consuming) looks great with any clothes. It is worn all year round, combined with winter and summer outfits. Patterns for creating such jumpers with a triangular neckline can be both complex and simple. Here everything depends on the pattern and type of model.
In the 1st row, the loops are reduced so that after this there are loops on the knitting needles:
- 84;
- (92);
- 100
Knit like this until the length of this section is about:
- 15;
- (12);
- 9
Then continue working according to the pattern provided below, starting the ornament from the inside. When the back reaches a length of 44 cm, the loops are closed for the armholes.
Then, having marked its middle, from 2 sides, starting from the beginning of each circle, close the loops according to:
- 3, 2, 1, 1, 1;
- (4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1);
- 5, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1.
After this, the following elements should appear on the instruments:
- 64;
- (68);
- 72
Next, to create a cutout in front, the middle 18 elements are closed and 2 sides are completed separately. At the beginning of each circle, from the inside, 3, and then 2 loops are closed.
At the same time, at the outer edge, do the same with the elements:
- 6, 6, 6;
- (6, 7, 7);
- 7, 7, 8.
The front of the pullover is made similar to the back, but with the formation of a V-shaped neck. The work is finished according to the drawing below.
The left side, from the next round from the front side, is knitted as follows:
- 2 loops, which stand up to 3 elements until the middle of the work, are connected to the front, front;
- The 2 resulting halves are now completed separately;
- On every 4th circle, continue to make decreases until the number of elements on the tools is:
- 18;
- (20);
- 22;
- Having reached the closed loops in the shoulder area (this is checked against the back), the elements are closed in the same way.
A women's pullover (every lover of beautiful and practical things should knit it) has always been and remains an excellent wardrobe item. Moreover, masterfully created jumpers with a unique neckline delight with novelty and beauty. Their various models are suitable for both young girls and adult women.
The right side is performed similarly to the left, but in mirror image.
Decreases in this area are done like this:
- facial;
- 2 elements are combined into a front with a left-hand tilt;
- then the circle is knitted to the last loop.
For the sleeves, cast on 58 (66) 66 stitches on knitting tools #4 and form a 4 cm elastic band from 2 purl and 2 knit elements. The 1st and last circles should be purl. Then switch to knitting needles marked 4.5 and perform the front surface, starting from the back side, knitting 2 middle steps with the front surface. From these stitches in the center, decrease in 1 row, from 2 sides, 4 stitches each.
After this, the following elements should remain on the needles:
- 50;
- (58);
- 58
When the sleeve reaches 12 cm, in every 10th row, start adding 1 loop on both sides of the knitting until there are no elements on the tools:
- 64;
- (68);
- 72.
After the length of the knitted part of the pullover reaches 43 (44) 45 cm, from 2 sides (at the beginning of each circle) they begin to create an armhole, closing 3, and then 2 loops.
After the final circle with closing, knit 2 more rows, and then decrease:
- purl;
- 2 elements together as a purl;
- perform until the last 3 loops of the circle;
- 2 elements together in the form of a purl with a left-hand tilt;
- purl.
The decreases are repeated again 5 times in every 4th round, and then in every 2nd. This is done until there are 32 loops on the needles.
Next, at the beginning of each circle, close the elements on 2 sides:
- 2;
- 2;
- 3;
Having completed the remaining loops on the knitting needles, begin to assemble the pullover. After sewing the parts of the product together with circular knitting needles, create a piping. This finished element is then sewn to the front and back sides of the jumper.
Original pullover
To obtain a product of size ML with a hood, take:
- 500 g of turquoise polyacrylic and viscose threads;
- 2 bead decorations;
- straight knitting needles marked 4 and the same with a fishing line;
- hook number 3.5.
To create a satin stitch, knit the front rows with front loops, and the back circles with back loops. A 10x10 cm square should come out of 20 loops on 24.5 rows.
When forming the back, do the following:
- Cast on 98 elements onto the knitting needles and knit 14 circles according to pattern No. 1. To do this, repeat the pattern with 2 edge stitches 8 times.
- Continue next: edge, 24 satin stitch elements, 23 knit stitches (pattern No. 2), 2 loops of pattern No. 3, 23 loops of pattern No. 2, 24 satin stitch loops, edge.
- Having knitted up to 40 cm from the bottom, for the armholes, close 3 loops on 2 sides, and also 1 loop 2 times in each 2nd circle.
- When the length reaches 60 cm, all loops are closed.
The front is created in the same way as the back, but at a height of 40 cm the loops are divided equally and then each resulting side is made separately. At a length of 55 cm from the bottom, 16 loops are closed from the inside.
Then in every 2nd circle they also close:
- 1 time for 5 loops;
- 1 time for 3 loops;
- 2 times 1 loop.
After the front from the bottom reaches a length of 60 cm, close 18 shoulder loops.
To knit the sleeves:
- 62 elements are cast on the knitting needles and the ornament is made according to pattern No. 4;
- at a length of 40 cm from the bottom for the armhole, close 3 loops on 2 sides;
- in every 2nd circle the following elements are sealed:
- 2 times 2;
- 8 times 1;
- 2 times 2;
- 3 times 3.
- The last 12 loops are also closed.
After all this is done, assemble the finished pullover. To do this, sew the places where the shoulders are. Where the hood should appear, loops are collected along the neckline and knitted 27 cm with an ornament according to pattern No. 4. Then the resulting product is folded in half and the elements of the 2 sides are combined according to the “loop in loop” principle.

Next, sew the sides of the item and sew in the sleeves. Along their bottom, 5 cm of single crochet stitches are crocheted for cuffs. During this, gather the edge in 1 circle. At the end, ties are also crocheted, which are then decorated with beads.
Unusual pullover
To get a model with size 36/38, resort to the help of:
- 380 g of white thread;
- hook and circular knitting needles marked 3.5 and 5, respectively;
- patterns in the picture below.

The border is made in circles along the blue lines of the pattern in the form of 2 rows of stocking stitch. In 1 circle the following should follow:
- Yarn over;
- 2 elements knitted with a front loop;
- Repeat the previous 2 steps.
The main pattern should be as follows:
- in 1 round: *yarn over, 2 elements together with a front loop; 26 front loops; repeat from *;
- in the 2nd round: *knit yarn over, knit 2 stitches together, knit 25 stitches, repeat from *;
- then repeat rows 1 and 2, decreasing in every 2nd round.
An unusual pullover with a swirl pattern contains 4 parts, which are knitted in a circle from the outside in. To create each of them, 224 loops are cast on with number 5 fishing line and 2 edging circles are made. After this, the product is worked out using the main pattern scheme. When there are 16 loops on the knitting tools, they are collected into a ring and pulled together. Then the parts are sewn together according to the pattern.

A women's pullover (you should knit it with knitting needles, starting from more optimal prints or shades) is made according to the features and type of figure. Voluminous models are worn with a belt. Short items look good with light blouses and tight trousers.
Tight pullovers are usually combined with loose trousers or a tulip skirt. Dress-style models perfectly emphasize the individuality and beauty of the figure.
Loose pullover
A stylish loose-fitting pullover is made using:
- rubber bands 2x2;
- garter stitch;
- front surface.
For a product with size XS/S take:
- 7 skeins of acrylic and wool yarn (116 m/100 g);
- 6.5 mm knitting needles with 80 cm of cord;
- tapestry needle;
- markers;
- loop holders.
The product is made using turning circles, as if on straight knitting needles.
Back
The back is knitted as follows:
- Cast on 70 stitches on the tools.
- In the first row on the front side do:
- 2 purl;
- *2 knit, 2 purl*;
- repeat from * to end of circle.
- In the second row:
- 2 facial;
- *2 purl, 2 knit*;
- repeat from * to end.
- Next, repeat circles 1 and 2 until you have a piece of fabric 5 cm from the bottom.
- Then, up to a length of 48.5 cm from the beginning, a pattern is made in the form of a front surface. The ornament is finished with a circle on the front side.
- In the last row, the initial 21 elements for the left shoulder are closed on the wrong side. Then everything is done with purl stitches until there are 28 elements on the right tool. They are then removed to a loop holder. The remaining loops are completed for the right shoulder.
A pullover is a type of jumper with a V-neck. This knitted attribute of a woman's wardrobe fits tightly to the figure. Translated from English, its name itself means "to put on from above" (pull over). In modern fashion, a pullover made with knitting needles is considered a basic item of clothing.
Front part
To create the front of the pullover, do the following:
- 70 elements are cast on to the knitting needles.
- In 1 circle on the front side there should be:
- 2 purl + 2 knit = 5 times;
- purl;
- marker;
- purl;
- 2 knits + 2 purl = 5 times.
- In the 2nd row do:
- 2 knit + 2 purl = 5 times;
- facial;
- reset marker;
- facial up to 2 limiters;
- reset marker;
- facial;
- 2 purl + 2 knit = 5 times.
- The 3rd circle is performed as follows:

- purl;
- removing the marker;
- facial up to 2 markers;
- resetting the limiter;
- purl;
- 2 knits + 2 purl = 5 times.
- Repeat circles 2 and 3 when the fabric reaches 5 cm from the bottom.
- Next, the work is completed on the reverse side.
- The next circle on the front side should look like this:
- face elements up to 1 limiter;
- reset marker;
- facial up to 2 limiters;
- reset marker;
- knit to the end.
- Next circle:
- purl to 1 limiter;
- re-removing the marker;
- facial up to 2 limiters;
- reset marker;
- purl to the end.
- Repeat last 2 rounds until 48.5 cm from bottom. Work should end on front side
- In the last round, the first 21 loops are closed on the wrong side. Then knit up to 28 elements on the right tool. They are then placed on a loop holder. The remaining loops are closed.
Sleeves
To form the sleeves, do the following:
- Cast on 58 stitches using knitting tools.
- In 1 circle on the front side place:
- 2 facial;
- 2 purl and 2 knit;
- repeat the previous action until the end of the circle.
- In the 2nd row perform:
- 2 purl;
- 2 knit and 2 purl;
- repeat the previous pattern to the end of the row.
- Then repeat circles 1 and 2 up to 35.5 cm from the beginning. After that, close all the elements on the needles.
Throat
To make the neckline:
- The right shoulder is being stitched.
- 28 elements are returned to action from the loop holder on the back and the same number of loops from the front.
- After this, from 56 loops, knit 16 rows with front elements.
- Then the loops are sealed.
Assembly
To assemble the product:
- Sew the left shoulder together with the edging.
- Then attach the sleeves. Next, sew the sides and bottoms of the sleeves.
- The remaining ends of the threads are secured.

Pullover with an interesting pattern
For size 46-48 use:
- needles 3.5;
- threads 6.5 skeins (640 g);
- patterns and diagrams:

For sleeves:
- Cast on 71 stitches onto the knitting needles and knit a cuff from 6 circles of the pattern.
- Every 6 rows add 22 loops on each side (114 elements in total).
- For the armhole, decrease to the end of 56 loops after 26 rows.
- After 4 diamonds are completed from the elastic band in height, the remaining loops are closed.
For the front and back, do the following:
- Cast on 149 elements or 6 non-whole repetitions onto the needles.
- The height of the pieces is created similar to the length of the sleeves.
- Next, an armhole is formed, for which 28 elements are evenly sealed on both sides.
- Then create the neck: close the central 7, 6, 4, 2 elements in the last circles. After that, make the front neck opening: close together with the armhole from the middle by 1 step in each 4, and then 2 circles by 4, 2, 4, 2 elements. In total, there should be 19 decreases on each side.
To assemble the product:
- The shoulders are sewn together;
- Along the entire neckline, steps are taken using circular tools;
- The initial rows are knitted with purl elements, all the rest - with knit elements;
- After 6 circles, 2 pieces of the kettlevka are connected with front steps;
- The next circle is connected with a crochet hook;
- Sew the sides of the pullover.
