Note: Bias binding is not the best option. It will complicate the processing of the skirt and will not be as effective due to the small width in the finished form. Also, a soft satin ribbon will be a bad choice, especially sewn onto hard tulle.

• The finished skirt is folded so that its top layer is shorter than the bottom layer by the width of the finishing strip. The fold is stitched to the width of the elastic.
• An elastic band is threaded through the unstitched section of the seam using a safety pin, and the edges are firmly stitched together using a sewing machine.
