The step-by-step instructions below will help you master the technique of drawing a Christmas stocking:

Draw the neck of the sock as a rectangle. It should be placed slightly above the center of the sheet. It is best to start drawing with the main elements, and then add secondary details. This will make it easier for the child to navigate the overall composition.
Draw the main outline of the sock. It should be wide enough. Round off the corners. If it is difficult to draw such a figure at once, you can first divide it into 2 intersecting rectangles, and then erase the extra lines with an eraser.
Mark the heel of the sock with an arc, and also draw a line separating the tip of the sock.
Draw 3 horizontal lines at the top of the sock.

The sock will contain a lollipop, a Christmas tree, and an orange as gifts. To depict the lollipop, first draw a vertical line, then bend it into an arc at the end. Show the tip of the lollipop as rounded.

At the bottom of the sheet, draw a horizontal line – the base of the souvenir.
Draw a large circle above this line to fit the house and the tree inside.

The stand can be depicted as three rectangles with rounded short sides.
Draw arcs on the left and right parallel to the previously drawn ball; with their help you can show glass walls.
At the bottom of the ball, draw snowdrifts with two smooth lines. In real glass balls, such snow is made of plastic, and to make it fall slowly when the souvenir is turned over, glycerin is added to the water.

The step-by-step technique for creating a drawing is as follows:

Draw a circle at the top center of the sheet – this will be the knot of the bow.
Add ovals on the right and left – tied ribbons of a bow.
To give the bow volume, add ovals at the bottom.
Draw 2 large ovals on the left and right – the lower contours of the bells.
Make the middle part of the bells in the form of large "pears". If it is difficult to draw them at once, then you need to use a simple graphite pencil, which is easily corrected with an eraser.

Draw “tongues” in the form of ovals inside the bells.
The fir branches in the background can be depicted simply – in the form of wavy lines.
Paint the bells bright yellow.
The top of the bow should also be painted yellow. This color should also be added to the fir branches, without completely painting them.
Paint the bells orange around the edges; these will be the “shaded” areas.
Color the unpainted areas of the bow with red, and also add a few strokes to the bells.

Christmas wreath

To make such a drawing, you can do the following:

In the center of the sheet, draw a circle using a compass.
At the top of this circle, draw a small oval – the knot of the bow and tied ribbons, as shown below.
Draw the free ends of the ribbons descending from the bow knot.
The outer contour of the wreath should be made in the form of a wavy line, leaving empty spaces at approximately the same distance for the ribbons.
Draw narrow ribbons in the form of "S"-shaped figures.
The inner contour of the wreath should also be depicted as a circle with a wavy line.

Add small circles all over the wreath – decorations on the woven branches.
Color the wreath light green and outline the contours with a dark green pencil.
Paint the decorations on the wreath yellow, red and blue.
Paint the bow and ribbons red.

Christmas angel

To draw an angel in this example, we will use not quite traditional materials - pastel pencils, which contain natural oil (oil pastel). Such pencils are brighter than those made from dry pastel and are easier to apply to paper. The lines are softer.

To work with oil pastels, you also need textured paper. Pastels do not work well on regular smooth paper. In this master class, brown paper with a fibrous surface was used.

You can use velvet or wrapping paper instead. Special paper for pastel painting and sketchbooks are sold in craft stores.

A black marker is used for the preliminary sketch. The drawing can also be sketched with a simple graphite pencil, but the pencil should not be too soft, as it will cause dirt when applying the pastel.

Another technique is also used: first, a sketch is made with a pastel pencil that is close in color to the shade of the paper.

Step by step process of drawing a Christmas angel:

In the center of the sheet, draw a small five-pointed star and put a dot in the middle.
Draw a semicircle (the angel's chin) a little higher than the star, show closed eyes and mouth with small arcs. Make the nose in the form of a dot, and depict eyelashes on the eyes.
Draw the angel's hair with curved lines. This drawing will be done in a simple, "primitive" technique.
Show the shoulders with two symmetrical curved lines.
The angel's arms are also depicted as parallel arcs.

Draw the angel's body in the shape of a rectangle, and show the legs in simplified segments, with round toes at their ends.
Draw large wings behind the angel's back, and depict feathers on them using ovals.
Color the angel's face, star, hands and wings with a white pencil. Since brown paper is used for the drawing, they will seem to glow.

However, it can be protected from smudging and crumbling by spraying hairspray over the drawing. Pastel pencils are a specific material that gives the drawing a "velvety" feel, for which they are valued.

Christmas candles

Christmas drawings for copying are imbued with centuries-old traditions and Christian symbolism. One of such objects, which in ancient times was used as a symbol of the victory of good and light over evil, is a wax candle. It also symbolizes the shining of the stars in the sky at the hour of the birth of Jesus Christ.

In this master class, candles (and traditionally there should be four of them) will be depicted together with sprigs of holly. This plant was valued by the Druids for the fact that it remained green and decorative even in winter.

Some legends say that Christ's crown was made from holly. Holly is also a symbol of joy and reconciliation.

To complete the drawing, you will need colored pencils. In the step-by-step description below, the contours are drawn using a black felt-tip pen. You can first draw them with a simple graphite pencil, and then trace them with a felt-tip pen.

This drawing is more complex than the previous ones, but it contains repeating elements of the same shape.

The drawing process is as follows:

Draw the first candle approximately in the middle of the album sheet. You can do this in the form of an elongated rectangle.
Add a short section on top - a wick and a flame in the form of a drop with a pointed end. Conditionally show the glow in the form of diverging lines from the candle.
At the bottom, under the candle, draw several round holly berries.
Add 2 ribbed leaves with sharp edges nearby, which are connected with short arcs. Draw the middles.
On the right, draw the same candle, but shorter. On it, depict a decorative ribbon with circles.
To the right, draw another candle, berries and holly leaves.

Add 2 small candles and leaves on the left to make the composition harmonious and balanced. It is not necessary to maintain exact symmetry, the candles and leaves can be different.
Add some more berries and leaves in the foreground so that the picture doesn't look flat.
Paint the candles light yellow to imitate wax.
Color the candle flames orange, and the ribbons and berries with a red pencil.
Color the leaves dark green. You can use different shades, and outline the light leaves with a darker pencil.
The background under the candles should also be painted green.

Draw the candle wick with a black pencil, and add red strokes to the left side of the flame.
Draw the outline of the candles along their right edge with a black pencil to create a shadow effect.
