Selecting a base for weaving

Monofilament, wire or fishing line are used as a base for beaded crafts. The choice will be correct if the characteristics of the base maximally coincide with the requirements of the created product.

An important criterion is the thickness of the metal cord.

Too thin material may not withstand repeated twisting. Too thick thread will not allow you to make quality bends. Experts recommend the best option - soft copper wire. The thickness of the steel wire (about 0.3 mm) should provide for its passage through the bead at least 2 times.

The more durable the souvenir is planned to be, the thicker the diameter of the wire should be. For small glass beads, it is better to choose a thin synthetic or natural thread, often reinforced.

How to choose tools

Fishing line. Fishing fiber will do, but it is better to take a special cord, which is less durable when breaking.
Polymer monofilament is suitable for decorating items that require the material to be invisible or for working with small beads.
Elastic thread is a braided elastic band of various colors. It is used to make shape-changing crafts.
Fittings in the form of plastic or metal fragments are used to secure elements of the product (rings, pendants, clasps).
It is advisable to choose needles with a thin eye, which has the same diameter along the entire length. The tool is assigned numbers (from 10 to 16), the higher the number, the thinner the needle.

Any scissors that can cut fishing line or thread will do.
Nippers and round-nose pliers will help you work with wire.
To hold and connect tiny parts you will need regular tweezers.
To strengthen the threads and improve the sliding of beads, stearin or wax is used.

Step-by-step process of making a beaded tree:

To form branches, you need to string 8 small beads on a piece of steel cord 0.35 mm thick and 45 cm long and twist a double loop. Put 8 rhinestones on one edge again and make a loop. As a result, you need to make 8 snares on the wire.
Next, weave both ends of the metal wire together, forming a bud. Leave 10 cm for the ends, cut off the excess. Make 150 small bunches in a similar way.
From 3 small ovaries create 1 large knot, as a result you will get 50 large bundles.
To make the tops, take 2 branches. To do this, you need to fasten 3 bunches together and tie a thread around 2 cm for the base of the branch.

After this, you need to connect 2 more times 2 ovaries to get another pair of such parts. Attach them to the side of the main stem, going down by 2 mm. In the same way, make 1 more branch. Next, you should fasten 2 bundles and attach a steel thread 1 mm thick and 12 cm long to them.
Tie with nylon threads and attach 3 more branches with 2 bundles. You should get 4 branches.
Make 2 more branches, adding 1 more bunch so that at the end you have 5 shoots.
To form a tree, all the branches made need to be joined together. They are twisted with a 3 mm thick wire and also secured together with a thread. Next, bend the lower section of the wire and proceed to the base.
You need to take a mold, any container will do, and cover it with polyethylene.
Dilute the alabaster with water and pour it into the mold, then place the tree there. Let the product harden.
Cover the tree with a mixture of alabaster and glue, then leave to dry.
Paint the trunk of the craft with brown acrylic.
Finally, decorate the tree with beads.

To form flowering branches, you need to take 1.2 m of wire and string 8 yellow beads on it, then twist it.
The next step is to collect 5 more flowers on each piece of metal cord without any indentations, which then need to be intertwined in pairs.
To weave the foliage, you need to take 13 green beads and form them into branches using a twisting method.
The final decoration involves painting the product.
Find a suitable stand and insert the finished tree into it.
Collect the branches and attach them to the trunk.

Bracelet

Master class on making a simple bracelet using the monastery cross technique:

Take 4 beads and insert a fishing line or a needle into one of them, then insert it into all the remaining beads one by one, securing them into a ring. You will get the 1st link.

Next, string on the next 3 beads and insert the needle into the 4th circle of the previous cell. Tighten the threads, thus forming the next cross, and bring the working needle out to the top of the cell.
Work according to the given pattern until the chosen size is reached. The result will be an uneven series of crosses.
To give the craft a finished look, you should return to the beginning along the formed chain.
Insert the needle into the side bead of the first plus sign, pick up 3 beads and form a new link, bringing the needle out into the upper segment of the outer cross.
Place the next 2 rhinestones on the base and insert the needle into the side bead of the 2nd cell and the top glass bead of the previous one.
Bring the working tool through the side and upper glass bead of the newly obtained cross, and also through the side bead of the 3rd link.
According to the given pattern, weave to the end of the chain, then return to the beginning of the bracelet along the 2nd line.
Perform subsequent rows as desired.
Finally, attach the clasp.

Earrings

Step-by-step process for making simple earrings:

Place alternately red and yellow beads on the wire.
Connect the workpiece into a ring.
String 10 mother-of-pearl beads onto the ends of the metal thread and form petals.
Bring the edges through the yellow balls.
Form 5 petals in a similar way.
Finally, attach ear hooks to one side.

Hair decoration

It is recommended to make each segment of the decoration separately, then assemble them into a whole craft.
First, a small and a large inflorescence are formed from Czech beads according to the pattern.
Each petal must be created using the brick weaving method. This process begins from the middle. You need to string 4 white and 6 pink beads on a thin fishing line, then close them into a circle. After that, string the glass beads one after the other.

Petals are made from one shade or several colors.
When ½ of the leaf is completed, you need to return to the 1st bead, and from this point begin weaving the 2nd part.
Next, you should run the fishing line along the edge of the created part and attach several glass beads to align the shape. If you pull the thread slightly, the petal will turn out curved.
Using a similar method, you need to make 5 blanks. Use a cord to pass through the 3 outer balls of the leaf and sew them together.
Assemble the flowers according to the pattern.
Attach the finished pieces to the metal base for the hair clip and decorate it with artificial pearls.

Flowers

Crafts in the form of flowers are made from beads and wire.

Step-by-step technology for making forget-me-nots:

Cut 10 cm of wire (0.2 mm thick). Put 1 yellow and 5 blue beads on it. From the side of the dark glass beads, thread the steel thread through the first 3 pieces, then through the light ball. Twist the ends in the middle under the golden pearl, as a result you will get a small flower.

Using similar actions, make about 100 such blanks, and then create inflorescences from them. It is recommended to do it this way: take 2 flowers and twist their wires, then weave other brushes to them. For a lush detail, it is advisable to twist about 10-15 flower heads.
The leaves are woven using the parallel weaving technique. You need to take 30 cm of fishing line and green beads. String 3 glass beads and pierce 2 of them with the other end of the wire using the cross-pattern. You should get 2 bead tiers. Then put on 3 glass beads and thread the base in the same way.
Using the same method, weave rows #4 and #5, 4 and 5 beads each. Next, make another line of 5 glass circles, then reduce their number (4-3-2-1). After putting on the last bead, you need to twist the wire edges.
Small branches should be formed from the leaves, twisting 3 leaves together. It is advisable to leave several leaves one at a time.
During the assembly process, the foliage, inflorescences and branches need to be twisted with a metal thread, placing them at your discretion. The stems are wrapped with green tape.
Place the finished bouquet in a small vase, filling it with pebbles for stability.

Animals

Beginner craftsmen can weave a craft in the form of a crocodile:

First, you need to calculate the length of the line, which depends on the size of the beads used. For large glass beads, you will need at least 2 m of wire (0.3 mm thick), and for medium beads - 1.2 m (0.2 mm diameter).

When forming the animal, the technique of parallel weaving is used. This means that the total number of beads for the 1st and 2nd tiers are strung on a steel thread at the same time.
Then pass 1 end of the line through all the glass beads of the 2nd line, towards the other end, and then tighten them.
Next, you need to string the beads of the next levels onto the steel thread, securing them with the 2nd edge of the thread in a counter action.

Keychains

Crafts made from beads and wire are made in the form of a cute, bright keychain.

Manufacturing technique:

You need to string 7 milky beads on a thin fishing line. Then form a small loop and pass the thread through the last glass bead again, in the same direction as originally.
The 2nd and 3rd lines are made using orange, then white beads. They are reproduced by threading the next shiny ball through each previous one.

Moving in a circle, you need to put on each glass bead that is already there 2 more rhinestones of an orange shade. After them comes 1 white glass bead.
Now in the 1st row you need to alternately create a milky and then an orange circle.
Next, the alternation should be changed to the following order: 2 orange pearls and 1 snow-white one.
The last tier should coincide with the line where the orange slices are separated from each other.
Further work consists of focusing on the last 2 steps.
After 3 levels, 2 orange parts are included between the white beads.
You can do this for each slice separately.
Next add milky colored balls. This action is performed with tight weaving of 2 rows.
Complete the composition with 3 orange stripes.
