Today we will make wonderful pincushions that will not only help keep your workspace tidy, but will also become a decoration. In addition, such products are not only good for handicraft lovers, but will also be a great gift for any woman.
To sew this product we will need the following materials:
- 2 buttons of any color and size;
- fabric 15 x 35 cm;
- cardboard;
- stationery glue stick;
- any filler, such as synthetic padding;
- glue, preferably Moment-crystal or Titan;
- needle and sewing thread;
- sewing machine.
Make a pattern on a sheet of paper, you can copy it for convenience. Cut out the pattern with scissors, after which you can start cutting. Take a piece of fabric and fold it in half, outline the paper pattern with a piece of soap or chalk. Cut everything out, leaving allowances along the edges for seams (4 mm).
The longest part should be 35 cm, after which we begin to carefully attach all the fabric blanks to each other. We collect from the base of the product and stitch around the circumference, making a full circle. We connect the part with the second side, the main thing is to leave room for filling, sew the bottom.
After this, you can turn the product inside out, fill everything with padding polyester and carefully sew up the hole with a hidden seam.
Take cardboard and cut out a platform measuring 12 cm x 7 cm and cut out the bottom from cardboard using the pattern. The cardboard bottom must be glued to the product with Moment Crystal glue.
Take the first piece of the platform from cardboard and make four more of them, so there should be five pieces in total. Glue all the parts together, placing one on top of the other. Cut out a piece from fabric, which we will use to glue the cardboard platform. Glue the platform with fabric, and the end can be glued with tape.
Now we glue our product-car to the platform. We make different details to decorate the product, namely a bobbin for threads. We take a wooden stick and wind the threads on it. Instead of a pin on the machine, a sewing needle sticks out, then we sew on buttons, and we make a foot from a paper clip.
