Acrylic can be used for knitting children's items. This yarn is pleasant to the touch and very soft. Items made of acrylic do not discolour or fade. The yarn does not absorb moisture well. To prevent the item from stretching after washing, dense knitting is recommended.

Seamless vest for a child 6-9 months

A comfortable model with a two-way fastener, easy to put on. Suitable for a boy and a girl. For knitting a vest, we recommend soft semi-wool "Kartopu Woolly Baby". You also need to prepare 8 buttons for the fastener.

Basic patterns:

Before

Step by step process.

Description:

1. Start by casting on 66 stitches using 2.5 mm needles.
2. Make a plank (knit with a 3 cm elastic band).
3. In the final return row, evenly add an additional 7 loops.
4. Continue working with needles No. 3.

Knitting sequence: edge, 7 garter stitches, 56 – wicker pattern, 7 garter stitches, edge. Having knitted 17 cm from the start, increase the bar to 15 garter stitches, knit 1 cm.

Close 7 loops on both sides for the armhole. Continue working: edge loop, 8 garter loops, 40 – “Wattle” pattern, 8 garter loops, finishing edge loop. 5 cm after shaping the armhole, close 22 loops in the center to obtain a neckline. Continue working separately.

Rear end

Cast on 22 new stitches, knitting 7 cm from the neck opening. Combine the right and left parts. After 15 cm from the neck, add 15 stitches of "garter" knitting to obtain an armhole. Make holes for each button.

1 cm after shaping the armhole, knit: edge loop, 15 garter stitches, 56 – “Wattle” pattern, 15 garter stitches, edge loop. Knit 14 cm and evenly close 6 sts. (total number – 82). Switch to thin knitting needles, knit 3 cm of “elastic”. Close the loops. Steam the finished piece, sew on buttons. Crochet the neckline.

Socks

For knitting, prepare semi-wool and knitting needles No. 3.5 (stocking).

Algorithm:

1. Cast on 40 stitches on 4 knitting needles, knit 3 cm with a rib pattern (alternately purl and front loops).
2. Knit 6 cm in stocking stitch (front loops in the forward row, back loops in the reverse row).
3. To shape the heel, remove the loops from the second and third knitting needles onto an additional thread. Continue with stocking stitch to a height of 4 cm.
4. Distribute 20 loops: 6 for the first needle, 8 for the second and 6 for the third. Continue knitting on the last needle. At the end of the row, connect the last loop to the heel piece by knitting it with a crossed front loop.
5. Turn the toe, perform the reverse row, slipping the initial st as if to purl. Connect the final loop to the heel part, knitting with a crossed purl.
6. Continue until all sts on side needles are used up.
7. Cast on 8 stitches from each edge of the heel piece, spread them over 4 knitting needles. Continue working in a circle.
8. In the 2nd row, close 1 st on both sides. To do this, knit the final 2 sts from the first knitting needle and the initial 2 sts from the fourth knitting needle (with a left-hand tilt). You should get 40 sts.
9. Knit 6 cm to the cape.
10. Decrease on both sides in the second row. The final result is 20 loops.
11. Cast off each row until 8 sts remain.

Connect the toe of the sock and secure the thread securely.

Simple knitted cap

For this product you will need Wendy Crosby yarn and bamboo knitting needles No. 4.

Job Description:

1. Cast on 62 stitches (including 2 edge stitches) and work 4 rows in garter stitch.
2. Knit 11 cm in stocking stitch.
3. Divide the work into 3 parts (20 loops each).
4. Remove the edge stitch, knit 39 front loops. Then knit 2 loops together (with a left tilt).
5. Rotate the part.
6. Purl 18 stitches. Purl the next 2 stitches together.
7. Turn the piece. Knit 18 stitches, knit the next 2 together.
8. Continue working until all side loops are finished.
9. Cast on 16 edge stitches on each side.
10. Knit 6 rows in garter stitch.
11. Close the loops in a circle.

Make ties. Cut the threads and carefully hide all remaining ends.

Booties

A simple model for a beginner knitter. For work you need semi-woolen yarn of blue and green colors. Booties are knitted on knitting needles № 3.5.

Algorithm:

1. Cast on 22 stitches with green yarn. Work 21 rows in stocking stitch pattern.
2. Carefully close the first 8 loops.
3. Continue knitting with blue yarn. Make 4 rows of stocking stitch.
4. Attach the green thread. Work sequence: 1st and 2nd rows - knit stitches, 3rd - purl stitches, 4th - knit stitches.
5. Knit 8 blue stripes, 7 green.
6. Bend the product in the area where the loops are reduced, sew the narrow part of the piece to the wide one.
7. Turn the work inside out.
8. Pull the outer loops of the striped part together with a thread on both sides.

13. Place the loops on an additional thread every 20 cm.

The back of the romper is knitted with two pieces from different skeins of yarn.

Description:

1. Cast on 8 stitches, knit 1 row.
2. Attach an additional loop on both sides. Complete 2 rows.
3. Repeat the increase. Knit a new row.
4. Mark the heel with a marker.
5. Perform 3 increases in every 7th row.
6. Knit 17cm.
7. Combine the pieces. Cast on 6 stitches between the legs.
8. Mark the middle.
9. Knit 2 rows. Decrease 1 loop in the center.
10. Knit 2 center stitches together through 2 rows.
11. Complete 20 cm.

Join the front and back parts of the garment on circular knitting needles. Knit 12 rows in ribbing. Close the loops. Sew the parts together. Fold the strip in half, sew to the upper edge of the rompers. Insert an elastic band of a suitable width.

Children's mittens (2-3 years)

The yarn "YarnArt Jeans" is suitable for making the model. The mittens are knitted on stocking needles No. 3. The pattern is "stocking stitch"

Job Description:

1. Cast on 40 stitches onto the knitting needles.
2. Knit 15 rows with a double rib pattern (alternate 2 front loops with 2 back loops).
3. Continue with stockinette stitch.
4. Complete 9 rows.
5. To form the thumb, make 6 loops and remove them to an additional thread. Finish the row.
6. Cast on 6 extra stitches. Finish the row with a finger hole.
7. Knit 14 rows.
8. Decrease one stitch on each needle.
9. Repeat until knitting is complete.
10. Cut the thread and pull the end of the mitten together.
11. Transfer the set aside stitches to the knitting needle.
12. Cast on an additional 6 stitches on the second needle.
13. Knit in a circle 10 rows of finger.

Pull out the knitting needles. Using a thick needle, pull the thread through all the loops and secure. Knit the second mitten.

Scarf

To make the model, it is recommended to select yarn with a merino wool content of no more than 50%. The scarf is knitted on 3.5 knitting needles (if there is 350 m of thread in a 100 g skein).

Cast on 20 stitches, knit with a garter stitch pattern to the desired length (depending on the child's age and height). After finishing the work, pull the thread through the loops of the short end of the scarf and tighten. To decorate the accessory, use ready-made pom-poms made of natural or artificial fur.

Hat for a girl

To make the accessory, we use semi-wool (140 m in 100 g) of various colors and knitting needles No. 7.

We knit stylish things for children from leftover yarn:

• For head size 56, you need to cast on 52 stitches.
• Work 46 rows in garter stitch, distributing the colored stripes in a derivative manner.
• To switch to a new yarn, knit the last loop of the row with a double thread.
• Then start decreasing the loops evenly.

Job Description:

• Row 47 – decrease every 3rd loop in the row;
• Row 48 – knit according to pattern;
• Row 49 – decrease every 2nd loop;
• Row 50 – continue working with knit stitches;
• Row 51 – decrease every 4.

Description:

1. Knit in a circle 5 cm on 90 loops with a simple “stocking” stitch.
2. Make an openwork row: # 2 stitches knit, one yarn over #. Repeat fragment #-# until the very end of the circle.
3. Knit 6 cm in stocking stitch.
4. Knit an additional st every 3. Repeat this 28 times.
5. Alternately add an extra loop after 2 and 3 36 times (total – 126).
6. After 8 cm, mark every 18th stitch and close a stitch at each marker (119 remaining).
7. Continue decreasing the fabric by repeating the decreases in every 2nd circular row (16 times).
8. There are 7 loops on the knitting needle. Pull the thread through them and finish knitting.

Sew a decorative mother-of-pearl button onto the top of the head.

Overalls for girls

The product is suitable for a child aged 3 to 7 months. For the overalls, you will need knitting needles No. 3.5 and 4 and pink cotton yarn. You will also need 4 flower buttons for the fastener.

Execution:

1. Cast on 35 sts onto thin needles and knit 2.5 cm in a simple rib pattern.
2. Continue working in stocking stitch on knitting needles No. 4.
3. After 17 cm, join both legs. To do this, cast on an additional 10 loops, attach 35 loops to the right, cast on a new 10 loops, remove 35 loops from the left leg and finish by casting on 10 loops (100 in total).
4. Switch to garter stitch.
5. After 20 cm, divide the piece into shelves (27 loops each) and the back part.
6. To form a beautiful armhole, close 14 loops in every 2nd row. After 7 cm, close 9 loops for a round neckline, after a row - 2 loops and 2 times one.
7. Make the other shelf symmetrically.
8. Start making the back part (on 46 loops). Make armholes.
9. Carefully close the last 18 loops.
10. On the left strip knitted with a garter stitch pattern, make 4 holes (overcast 1 loop with a needle).

Sew the shoulders and side seams. Crochet the armholes and neck using the "crayfish step", sew the buttons opposite the holes.

Overalls for a boy

A comfortable model with a fastener along the raglan lines. For production, blue semi-wool and white remains are used. For the fastener, prepare 16 buttons.

We knit stylish clothes for children for long walks in the fresh air. Making the back part:

1. Using knitting needles No. 2, knit 3 cm in ribbing on 32 loops. At the end, increase the fabric by 12 sts.
2. Continue with stocking stitch. Every 7 rows, add a new loop 11 times on the right and 8 times in every 12 rows on the left. You should get 63 in total.
3. After 23 cm from the strip, decrease on the right through a row 2 sts, then 1.
4. The right leg is knitted symmetrically.
5. Connect both parts and continue making the jumpsuit.
6. After 24 cm from the start of knitting, start making a raglan. It is necessary to remove 1 loop 24 times, skipping a row.

Close the top loops after 17 cm. The front part of the product is knitted similarly to the back until the legs are connected.

Remove 6 loops on both sides and continue working. After 24 cm, make a raglan line (reduce by loop 23 times). For an even neckline, close 17 sts in the center. To get a beautiful rounding, you need to decrease 3 loops twice on each side.

Sleeves:

1. Knit with a 3 cm elastic band on 46 loops. At the end of the strip add 14 new loops (60 in total).
2. To increase the detail, add 17 times a loop every 2 rows and 2 times a new st every other row.
3. Complete 14 cm.
4. Raglan: decrease 6 times by 2 sts and 23 times by 1 on the right, 7 times by 2 and 29 times by 1 on the left.
5. After 14 cm, every 2 rows, close 3 loops 6 times and 2 loops 1 time.
6. Knit the left sleeve symmetrically.

Cast on the required number of stitches along the neckline and knit 2 cm with a rib pattern. Then attach a white thread and knit 4 rows with a satin stitch. Make a placket-fastener using the same principle, not forgetting about the button loops (8 on the right and left sides). Sew on the free part of the placket and buttons.

Children's blouse

To complete the model you will need Debbie Bliss Cashmerino yarn, as well as knitting needles with a #5 and #4 cord.

Manufacturing:

1. Knit 32 rows with knitting needles No. 5 in stocking stitch on 32 loops.
2. To form the sleeve, add 5 sts 4 times on the right and left sides in every 2nd row (84 in total).
3. Work 16 rows in stockinette stitch.
4. Fasten 34 loops on an additional needle, close the next 16 sts to make the neck, continue knitting on 34 sts for the second front.
5. Make 16 rows.
6. Close 5 loops 4 times from each sleeve side (14 in total).
7. Knit 32 rows in stocking stitch and close the loops.
8. Symmetrically to the left, make the right shelf on the previously set aside loops.
9. Pick up 46 sts from the right side of the front panel, 22 along the neckline, 46 from the second panel onto size 4 knitting needles (total: 114).
10. Knit 8 cm using the double elastic pattern.

Sew the sleeves and sides of the blouse, make a loop for the fastener from the cord.

Trousers

For work you will need Turkish yarn "Jeans" (cotton with acrylic).

Making the leg:

1. Knit with a 3 cm elastic band on 72 loops.
2. In every 4th row add an extra loop twice and in every 6th row add an extra loop 9 times on both sides.
3. Knit 24 cm.
4. Decrease: 1 time 3 loops, then through the row 2 and 2 times 1 loop on the right and left.
5. After 41 cm, set aside the loops.
6. Knit the second leg. Join both pieces on circular needles. For the wedge, cast on an additional 8 stitches.

For a better fit of the pants, knit 2 shortened rows on one half (back). Knit 16 cm in stocking stitch, then 6 cm in elastic. Fold the waistband in half and sew to the top of the pants. Insert a cord or elastic.

Tunic for girls

The model is suitable for a girl aged 2-3 years. To knit the tunic, you will need pink semi-wool and knitting needles with a fishing line No. 3.

Algorithm:

1. Cast on 72 stitches, knit in a circle 2 cm in stocking stitch.
2. Division: 29 front part loops, raglan bevel loop, 12 sleeve loops, raglan loop, 29 back part loops, raglan bevel loop, 12 second sleeve loops, raglan loop.
3. Work 12 cm in stockinette stitch. Knit an additional loop on the raglan bevel side.
4. Close all sleeve loops.
5. Knit the tunic to the desired length.

Dress

5. Close the loops after 43 cm from the strip.

Sew the seams. Crochet the dress, choosing a suitable pattern.

Cardigan for girls

Suitable for 4 or 5 years. Knitted from purple "Malyshok" yarn on circular needles No. 3

Algorithm:

1. Cast on 95 stitches and knit 2 cm in rib pattern.
2. Divide the fabric: 6 loops for each front panel, 11 for the shelves, 3 loops for each raglan line, 12 loops for the sleeves and 25 loops for the back.
3. Knit the cardigan using stocking stitch.
4. Along each raglan bevel, add one loop on each side in each front row.
5. The raglan is knitted with a stocking stitch, the strips are knitted with a rib pattern.
6. Work 14 cm and continue knitting each piece separately.
7. The back part and both shelves are 15 cm of satin stitch, 2 cm of elastic.
8. The sleeves are knitted 17 cm long using stocking stitch and finished with a rib pattern.

Connect all the cardigan parts, secure the button.

Children's leg warmers with fantasy design

This is a mini master class on knitting leg warmers for a child.

For knitting you will need a total of 200 g of Olga yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 100 g / 392 m), of which 100 g beige, 50 g gray, 50 g brown (in 2 additions), knitting needles No. 3. Knitting density: 17 loops and 24 rows = 10 * 10 cm of the front surface.

Children's leg warmers with a fantasy pattern are knitted according to the pattern and instructions.

Step-by-step knitting instructions:

1. Knit with 2 strands.
2. Knitting from 1 to 5 rows: cast on 64 sts with brown yarn and knit with a 1 by 1 elastic band.
3. Knitting row 6: evenly add 4 loops, there will be 68 loops on the needle.
4. Knitting from rows 7 to 22: knit according to the fantasy pattern - 1 edge loop, 6 loops of the rapport, repeat 11 times, 1 edge loop.
5. Knitting from row 23 to row 46: knit according to the jacquard pattern from row 63 to row 1.
6. Knitting row 47: remove 1 loop from both sides.

5. For the sleeve, knit in a circle 3 cm with a rib pattern.

7. Knit a piece 27 cm long. For the raglan line, make 26 decreases from the desired edge.
8. Sew in the sleeves.

On the collar loops, knit 4 cm with a rib pattern.

Vest

A comfortable and stylish model is knitted with knitting needles No. 9 from thick semi-wool (100 m in a skein weighing 100 g). For fastening, 6 buttons are needed.

Algorithm:

1. Knit 4 cm with a “rib” pattern on 55 loops.
2. Continue: 5 garter stitches, 45 stocking stitches, 5 garter stitches.
3. Knit to the desired length.
4. Close in the middle 21 pt.
5. Finish knitting 2 rows of the right and left shoulder separately.
6. Cast on 21 stitches again and continue making the front part using the same pattern.

Crochet the collar, make fasteners (3 on the right and left sides of the vest).
