Pineapple is an extraordinary fruit, an indicator of luxury and refined taste as a gift. In the northern countries of the world, it is not easy to get a real pineapple, so it is considered a real delicacy there. A gift that can look especially impressive is an artistically decorated pineapple made from candies and a bottle of champagne, made with your own hands.
What candies to choose
For the pineapple, select your favorite candies from the candy and bottle. The most suitable candies are hemispherical ones.: they are easy to arrange in a checkerboard and circular pattern, and are shaped like pineapple scales. The color of the wrappers is selected in a natural shade: yellow or brown.
DIY Champagne and Candy Pineapple
The classic combination of chocolate and champagne is given an original twist by adding pineapple to the composition.
For work you will need tools and materials:
- bottle of champagne;
- favorite hemispherical chocolate candies in the amount of 100 pieces;
- special glue gun;
- cardboard and a sheet of paper;
- green tape for leaves;
- crepe and scotch tape.
A base pad will give stability to the finished pineapple. The bottom of the bottle is marked on the cardboard, the 1st circle is drawn. A circle of a larger diameter is drawn around the 1st circle. The outer circle is 1 cm larger than the inner circle, cut out. A circle with a diameter 2 cm larger than the diameter of the cardboard circle is cut out of floral crepe.
The circles are glued together, the edges of the crepe circle are folded over and glued. The bottom of the bottle is coated with glue along the rim and glued to the side of the cardboard circle partially covered with crepe.
The bottle is tightly wrapped in paper. The paper is secured with tape up to the shiny neck. Floral crepe is glued to the paper. When most of the candies have been removed, the bottle will easily come out of the mold.
Before assembling the pineapple, the candies must be cooled. They are attached with glue. The first row should be glued horizontally onto the cardboard backing. In the second row, the candies are glued to the crepe in a checkerboard pattern. All subsequent rows are done similarly.
You will need to leave a few centimeters of paper free of candies on top. If the paper between the rows of candies is visible, the empty tails of the wrappers will help hide the gaps.
Lastly, leaves are cut out from green tape with pointed upper ends. The leaves are straightened with scissors and folded to the upper end. The leaves are glued to the edge of the paper not occupied by the candies. This is done with an overlap in a circle. The lower row of leaves is tucked under the candies.
The leaves should completely cover the neck of the bottle together with the cork. When the work on the top is finished, the pineapple is ready.
A pineapple made from candies and champagne is made in a different way. The champagne bottle is wrapped in green shiny paper. Leaves are glued to the neck.
Cool the semicircular candies. The candy wrapper tails are glued to the flat base of the candy. The candies are glued to the bottle starting from the base of the leaves, thus covering their joints. The candies are placed tightly in a checkerboard pattern. The work is finished when you reach the bottom of the bottle.
Pineapple leaves can also be made from candies wrapped in green wrappers.: firmly fasten small candies together by the wrapper tails with wire. If the candies are large, the wire is passed vertically through the holes made in the free parts of the wrapper.
From cognac and sweets
A unique original pineapple made of candies is made not only with a bottle of champagne, but also with a bottle of cognac. It is easy to create a great gift for a man with your own hands.
To work you will need:
- round bottle of cognac;
- Scotch tape, preferably double-sided;
- the birthday boy's favorite chocolate candies;
- scissors;
- cling film, colored paper.
At the first stage, the bottle is tightly wrapped in cling film. Due to its stickiness and thinness, the film adheres well to the glass and is fixed. The film will help to free the bottle from sweets later. On top of the film, the bottle is covered with double-sided tape.
The candies used to create the composition should be kept in the refrigerator. The wrappers must be tightly rolled. It is recommended to tie heavy candies by the ends of the wrappers with threads. For the 1st row, it is better to make such a chain. The rows will be located horizontally.
The next row of candies is glued to the tape that is wrapped around the bottle. The candies are arranged in a checkerboard pattern. All subsequent rows are made in a similar manner. It is better to choose candies with a cut flat base. You can use several types of candies. It is better to choose candies of the same shape and size. The candy rows end at the base of the bottle neck.
Now you need to make the leafy top of the pineapple. Colored double-sided paper is suitable for the leaves. The contours of the leaves are drawn according to the template. The shape of the leaves: wide at the bottom with pointed upper edges.
Glue the leaves to the base of the bottle neck using double-sided tape. To hide the joints of the leaves, sweets are glued on top. This is how a pineapple is created with your own hands from your favorite sweets and a bottle of cognac.
From a plastic bottle and candies
Old plastic bottles from carbonated drinks can be used to make decorative items or create gift packaging for sweets. An artistic "candy" pineapple from a plastic bottle is created in one of two manufacturing options: candies are inside the bottle, candies are glued to the outside.
Materials required for working on the craft according to the 1st manufacturing option:
- plastic bottle;
- candy, preferably pineapple flavored;
- double-sided green paper;
- knife and scissors;
- colored tape and glue.
A square is cut out of green paper, rolled into a cone, and glued at the base. The cone will be the base of the leafy part of the pineapple. Triangular leaves are cut out of green paper. The leaves are cut out to be as similar as possible to the leaves of the real fruit. The cone is covered with leaves, starting from the funnel and ending with the sharp top.
A pineapple is made from a plastic bottle. The bottle is cut crosswise into 2 equal halves. Both halves are filled with candies. To make the pineapple look realistic, the color of the wrappers is chosen to be yellow, green or brown. Both halves are connected and fixed with tape.
The neck of the bottle is greased with glue from the inside. The previously prepared bunch of leaves is inserted into it. The neck is wrapped with a ribbon from the outside. The pineapple is ready! Such an aesthetic fruit will be a wonderful gift for pineapple lovers.
For the second option of creating a pineapple from a plastic bottle and candy you will need:
- bottle and candy;
- scissors and double-sided tape;
- cardboard and green paper;
- thin wire and glue.
Instructions for making:
- First, a square of tape is glued to the bottom of the bottle.
- 4 candies tied together with wire are folded into a square. One candy is attached diagonally inside the square.
- The square is attached to the bottom of the bottle.
- The bottle is wrapped with tape. The candies are glued in horizontal rows and placed in a checkerboard pattern. The spaces not occupied by candies are hidden behind the tails of the wrappers.
- The cardboard is rolled into a cone, wrapped in tape and placed on the bottle cork.
- Leaves cut out of colored paper are glued to the cardboard in circles, starting from the top. The leaves should reach the base of the bottle neck. The top row of candies covers the bases of the lower leaves.
The sweet composition is ready!
The leafy top of a pineapple made from a plastic bottle can be made from plastic. Take a green bottle. Remove the bottom. Cut the leaves from the bottom towards the bottle neck. Leave the neck intact and attach it to the fruit bottle neck with tape.
From a glass jar and candies
To make a pineapple from candies, you can use not only a bottle, but also a regular glass jar, for example, with coffee or tea. The description of the work is simple.

Tools and materials can be found in every home, namely:
- favorite candies;
- a glass jar of the required size;
- green paper;
- rubber;
- needle and thread;
- scissors.
The glass jar is placed in the center of a sheet of green paper, completely wrapped, and the paper is secured to the neck with a rubber band. Candies can be glued to the paper as described in the previous examples. It is better to do it differently: string the candies on a thread and wrap the jar. Candies are also glued to the bottom of the jar.
When the thread with the candies strung on it reaches the elastic band, the thread is tied to the elastic band with a knot. Then the pineapple will not fall apart. The leaves are made of green paper. In this case, the paper is either rolled into cones, or the leaves are cut out according to a pre-made template. The leaves are inserted into the jar. At the end of the work, a row of candies is glued to the elastic band that tightens the wrapping sheet.

How to beautifully pack a pineapple made of candies
It is important to present a homemade pineapple made of candy and champagne correctly. Particular attention is paid to packaging. Today, there are many different packaging materials.
The most common packaging option is gift wrap. The gift pineapple-bottle is placed in the center of the sheet. The paper wraps the pineapple up to the leaves. It is secured under the leaves with an elastic band or ribbon.
The second option for wrapping a pineapple in paper is different: the paper, without forming folds, tightly wraps the pineapple. Take a long sheet of paper. The width of the sheet should be slightly larger than the circumference of the pineapple. The pineapple is placed on the paper closer to the bottom edge. The paper located above the pineapple is cut into strips.
The pineapple is wrapped once in paper, which is secured with tape on the side and bottom. The ribbons on top are gathered together and tied with a satin ribbon. Paper ribbons can hide the leafy top, or they can be placed lower at the base of the neck.
In winter, it will be relevant to pack an artistic pineapple into the sleeve of a sweater. Old knitted items will come in handy for this. Before packing the pineapple, the sweater is washed, the pellets are removed from the sleeve. The pineapple is placed in the sleeve, the sleeve is cut off.
A circle of thick fabric is cut out for the bottom of the package. The sleeve cuts are sewn to the circle. The sleeve cuff covers the neck of the bottle completely, the foliage located on it is neatly folded. A thin knitted strip with tassels is tied to the base of the neck, imitating a scarf. Buttons can be sewn on.
