Any drawings on musical themes are used not only for their intended purpose, for example, to illustrate teaching aids, but also to decorate notebooks and personal diaries. The most striking example of the transformation of such images is the treble clef.

Understanding the basic stages of creating its outline, the young artist will be able to refine the picture, adapting it to the style of the place where it is planned to be placed (for example, if the drawing is planned to decorate a notebook, the treble clef is often drawn in hearts).

Step by step tutorial on drawing a treble clef and notes

To create a drawing consisting of a treble clef and notes, a child will need:

• Sheets of thick paper or thin white cardboardInsufficient density of the working surface used can lead to smearing of lines during work, as well as damage to the integrity of the paper, often due to the use of an eraser.
• A set of simple pencils, differing in the hardness of the lead. It is recommended to use a soft pencil to fill in the interior of the depicted objects, to apply shadows or shading; a hard pencil is needed to draw the outline or thin secondary lines; a pencil of medium hardness should be used when depicting secondary objects, the clarity of the outline of which does not have much meaning.
  
• A set of colored pencils, felt-tip pens or markers. If the child prefers to draw in color.
• Large eraser made of high-quality rubber. Small erasers are inconvenient to use, and poor quality material can cause streaks to remain on the work surface after removing erroneously drawn lines.
• Stencils. Stencils will be especially relevant if the child has no previous experience of drawing notes and a treble clef or does not even know what they look like.

The treble clef (the drawing is rarely created as a separate piece, without secondary objects in the composition) and notes are easiest to draw like this:

1. It is recommended to place the sheet of paper used horizontally. Otherwise, the depicted objects will not be drawn in detail, which will negatively affect the appearance of the final composition.
2. Determine the middle of the sheet of paper by eye, and then draw a line along the length of the working plane in the middle part, smoothly curved in 2 places.
   
3. Draw 4 more lines under the main curve, exactly repeating the curves of the first one. It is recommended to make the space between the curves the same, as this will help the artist to better navigate the working plane in the future work.
   
4. Closer to the left edge of the drawn staff, draw a vertical line, the lower part of which should be twisted into a spiral. At the extreme point of the spiral, draw a small circle, which should then be colored.
   
5. From the top extreme point of the vertical line, draw a loop (the top part of the number “8”).
   
6. You can add volume to a note by drawing its contours multiple times.
7. Connect the extreme point of the upper area of ​​the figure with the lower one by drawing a semicircle curved to the left of the main outline. Outline the outline several times to give volume to the image.
   
8. From the extreme lower point of the semicircle, draw a part of the circle to the right, the end of which must be located in the area of ​​the second line from the bottom of the staff, to the left of the main vertical. Give volume to the image by drawing the outline of the resulting treble clef several times.
   
9. Step back from the treble clef to the right 3-5 cm, depending on the scale of the image, then draw a vertical line from the second line from the top of the staff, the extreme point of which should be located on the third curve from the top. Draw a small deformed circle at the bottom, resembling a drop in shape. Give the drawing volume and color the lower circle.
   
10. Using the method described in point 9, draw another note at a distance of 2-4 cm from the first one so that its upper point is located on the first curve and its lower point is on the last one.
    
11. Connect the top points of the previously depicted notes with 2 parallel diagonals.
    
12. Color the distance between the connecting lines.
13. Step back from the first note 3-4 cm and draw a semicircle on the bottom line, curved to the left, the extreme points of which should be located on the vertical line reaching the second curve of the staff from the top.
    
14. From the top point of the vertical, draw a short curved line to the right, bending it upward.

    

15. Add volume to the drawing by drawing its outline several times.

As a result of the work done, the child will draw a treble clef, as well as the notes “D” and “E”.

How to draw a treble clef on a musical staff

The treble clef (the drawing can be created in black and white shades or in color) can be drawn in two ways, which are mirror images of each other. If the child is just beginning to engage in creativity, he should be offered to use both methods within the framework of one art lesson.

Having tried, the young artist will independently determine which method is most convenient for use, and over time will be able to independently adjust it, adjusting it to his skills. Treble clef - a drawing created in the classical way, assumes the organization of the work process in accordance with the algorithm below.

He's like this:

1. The working plane used should be positioned horizontally to allow detailed drawing of the required object.
2. Starting from the center, draw horizontal lines (5 pieces) on a sheet of paper, parallel to each other, placing them at a distance of at least 4 cm from each other.
3. Mark the starting point by crossing the second line from the top with a short diagonal. The direction of the line is from the lower left corner to the upper right corner.
4. From the designated area, draw a circle, placing it between the lowest line and the third from the bottom. It is not recommended to draw the circle too deformed to the sides or too small. Otherwise, the treble clef will turn out unrealistic, and the overall composition will be sloppy.
5. The peculiarity of the drawn circle is that its extreme points should not touch. The end of the circle should be twisted into a spiral, and on the second turn, the contour should be directed to the left and up.
6. Having reached the level of the upper line, the outline of the treble clef must be turned to the right side, after which it must be continued to be drawn downwards. In this case, the intersection of the lines should form a loop.
7. At the final stage, it is necessary to draw the outline downwards with a slightly inclined or vertical line, as if cutting the treble clef in the middle. The extreme lower point of the line should be located 3-4 cm below the fifth line. Under the last line of the staff, it is necessary to wrap the line into a hook consisting of one small semicircle.

In order for a child to quickly learn to draw a treble clef in this way, professional artists recommend that parents or teachers teaching the child explain the working principle in detail several times in a row.

Once you are sure that the young creator has mastered the basic principles, you need to give him the opportunity to repeat the drawing on his own (from the adult, occasional comments are allowed regarding the main components of the treble clef, for example, “hook”, “straight”, and so on).

The second method (mirror) by which you can draw a treble clef looks like this:

1. Place the sheet of paper horizontally and draw five parallel lines on it. The distance between the lines should be at least 3-4 cm, depending on the scale of the image.
2. In the area of ​​the first line from the bottom, draw a small hook, the extreme point of which should continue as a vertical or slightly diagonal line directed upwards.
3. Having reached the upper boundary of the staff, draw a vertical figure eight, the extreme points of which should not close together.
4. Between the third and first lines, you need to draw a circle, continuing to draw the outline of the treble clef.
5. Make the drawn object more voluminous by drawing its outline several times.

The treble clef drawn in the second way, despite the apparent simplicity of its creation, is best achieved by those who have already mastered the classical method, or have an idea of ​​how exactly the final image should look.

Treble clef with hearts

A treble clef (a drawing that is planned to be used to decorate a notebook, personal diary or sketch book) can be decorated with hearts, thus changing not only the appearance of the image itself, but also its perception. Such pictures are usually created by girls who differ from their peers in their gentle character and romantic nature.

Given the prevalence of these types of drawings, it is not surprising that modern young artists, in an effort to stand out, use various methods of creating the images in question.

One of the easiest ways to draw a treble clef with hearts is the following:

1. Determine the center of the working plane by eye.
2. Draw a vertical line in the middle of the sheet, pressing minimally on the pencil.
3. From the upper extreme point of the drawn line, draw a semicircle curved to the left to the left border of the working plane. The extreme point of the semicircle should be located at a level of approximately 5-7 cm from the top of the vertical.
4. Without bringing the outline of the semicircle to the main vertical, sharpen the angle, then draw a loop directed upwards, the extreme point of which should be located on the central line.
5. Outline the contours of the depicted elements, thus smoothing out the places where they transition.
6. Draw the loop several times, then draw the forming line downwards in the direction as if you were planning to draw a figure eight.
7. After the intersection of the lowest point of the semicircle with the main vertical, it is recommended to continue the outline of the treble clef with a curve twisted into a spiral. The resulting spiral should intersect the main vertical line, but not intersect with its outline located to the left of the main line.
8. Draw the lower part of the treble clef again, making it more voluminous.
9. Extend the main vertical, then bend the outline to the left and twist it into a spiral. At the end of the spiral, draw a small circle.
10. Erase derivative lines.
11. Inside the small loop located at the top, duplicate the outline, stepping back 1 cm from the main outline.
12. The contour of the curve located to the left of the center of the treble clef is also split in two, thus giving volume to the picture.
13. Detail the upper part of the figure by drawing a semicircle located to the right of the main line.
14. Fill in the distance between the derivative lines of the contour, darkening the areas where the lines intersect.
    
15. From the top loop, located to the right of the treble clef axis, step back 2 cm to the left, and, without reaching the central axis, draw a small snowdrift using the intersection of 4 lines.
16. Step back a similar distance towards the lower right corner, then draw a small, even heart.
17. Under the lower loop, located to the right of the treble clef axis, draw a snowflake using the method described in point 15.
18. Using the algorithm for drawing snowflakes described in paragraph 15, depict small objects in the area of ​​the contour bends to the right of the axial derivative of the treble clef line.

21. Outline the outline of the fig with a black marker or soft pencil (using colored pencils, felt-tip pens or paints in this case is unjustified, and will most likely negatively affect the overall appearance of the final image), after erasing the derivative lines with an eraser.

It is important to leave part of the vertical axis of the drawing thin for proper distribution of accents.

A treble clef drawn in different styles looks like several absolutely different drawings. If the image is created by a child who has an idea of ​​the purpose of the clef and notes, it is acceptable to give him the opportunity to complete the task in any style that is most preferable for him.

If a young artist has no idea what the result of his work should be, it is recommended that he begin learning to draw notes with the classical algorithm, which implies a gradual complication of the task.
